Dr. Lanny P. Cortez was born in the Philippines, and when she was 13 years old, moved to the United States with her mother, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.  She graduated from Boardman High School and attended John Carroll University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She continued her formal education at Youngstown State University where she completed a master’s degree in Biology. 

Following a passion for helping people, she selected dentistry as a means to fulfill that focus and desire. She attended Marquette University, School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she was conferred her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). After becoming a board certified dentist in June 2011, she spent the next 8+ years brightening smiles in Fairlawn, Ohio. 

Dr. Cortez enjoys connecting with each patient and being able to make a positive influence in their lives. She believes in a consultative approach to dentistry, listening to the patient’s desired outcome, and developing a custom treatment plan to achieve their goals within their unique circumstances. She is committed to providing a comfortable and relaxed environment, warm and caring service, and of course, first class dental care. Her primary specialties are: cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, complete and partial dentures, oral surgery, and endodontics.   

Dr. Cortez resides in Medina with her husband, and 3 young children. She spends the majority of her spare time with her family, but when she does have time for herself, she enjoys hiking, running and finding a quiet place to catch up on her favorite shows.
